Press Release

The Brentwood Business Showcase returns to the Brentwood Centre on Wednesday October 20

Date: 17 September 2021

The Brentwood Business Showcase takes place on Wednesday October 20 at the Brentwood Centre for its 5th year.

The event is a must for businesses in the borough and across Essex particularly as few in-person business centred events have gone ahead in the last 18 months.

Gold Sponsor Tees and Silver Sponsor Howe Chartered Surveyors are backing the new venue which will allow over 75 exhibitors and up to 500 visitors to take part. The Premium stands have all sold out and a few of the Standard stands and micro business stands are still available at £140 and £70 respectively (ex VAT). The Showcase is free to attend from 10-4pm but visitors must register at www.brentwoodbusinessshowcase.co.uk

Speakers include Kate Willard, OBE, Thames Estuary Envoy for the Thames Estuary Growth Board, Peter Gudde; Energy Projects Manager for the Greater South Essex Energy Hub and Scott Russell founder of Paddy & Scott’s Coffee. The talks will be complemented with a range of workshops and a Fizz & Biz drinks reception from 4-6pm hosted by Land Charter Homes Group.

Brentwood Borough Council Leader, Cllr Chris Hossack said; “The Brentwood Business Showcase is an incredibly popular event that supports local businesses and the broader economy. It is a day of excellent networking opportunities and past attendees have said that they have gained new business as a result. This year the event is more important than ever to companies and particularly welcome is the opportunity to meet, share and participate in person. The new venue at the Brentwood Centre has enabled us to expand our offering to include not only some terrific speakers but micro stands too for those who are just starting out and for whom that presence at such an event could kick start their business goals. Our sponsors Tees and Howe Chartered Surveyors are always supportive of the Showcase as without them, and our bronze sponsors, we could not put on the event to the standard that we have come to expect and appreciate. We also have Axis and Norse Group supporting the new Sustainability Zone which is an innovation for 2021 and will offer vital help and advice for businesses seeking how best to enhance their green credentials through off setting carbon emissions. The zone will help promote the best actions that can be taken now to enhance firms’ green credentials and the schemes and cost incentives that are available. Brentwood has a strong business community and entrepreneurial spirit which makes a huge contribution to the borough as a desirable place to live and work. I would urge those who wish to attend to register as soon as possible as we know demand is going to be high and I look forward to opening the event on the day.”

Commercial Property Partner at Tees, Jane Winfield said; “As sponsors of the Brentwood Business Showcase for many years, we are delighted to support it again this year. Brentwood is rich in entrepreneurial spirit and we are looking forward to meeting local businesses, reconnecting with those we haven’t seen recently and making new contacts. It is looking to be a great day.”

Christian Howe from Howe Chartered Surveyors said; “As a business we have benefitted significantly from attending and sponsoring the Brentwood Business Showcase since its inception in 2016, therefore becoming a Silver Sponsor was an opportunity I could not pass up. This year’s showcase is extra special because, now more than ever, businesses and professionals need one another to stimulate growth. We further welcome the addition of the new Sustainability Zone at this year’s business showcase and support the need for us to work together to instil change.”

Attendees and exhibitors will have the opportunity to have a professional corporate style profile picture taken by Carmel Jane Photography free of charge to help build their brand.
