Press Release

English Open heads back to Brentwood this October

Date: 13 January 2023

The Brentwood Centre in Essex will once again host the English Open in 2023, and tickets are already on sale for the World Snooker Tour event.

The venue in Brentwood staged a world ranking event for the first time in December 2022 and it was a fantastic success as crowds packed the arena each day. Mark Selby lifted the BetVictor English Open trophy after beating Luca Brecel in the final, having come through a field packed with the sport’s biggest stars including Ronnie O’Sullivan, Judd Trump, John Higgins and Neil Robertson.

The tournament will return to the same location from October 2nd to 8th in 2023. Tickets are ON SALE NOW and start at just £9 with our opening offer! For details CLICK HERE

Fans are strongly urged to book quickly because certain sessions are expected to sell out within days. The field of players will be announced nearer the time, but again the draw is sure to be packed with snooker’s all-time greats.

WST Chairman Steve Dawson said: “We are delighted to be heading back to Brentwood. It proved a fantastic location for the English Open last year and we were thrilled to see the venue packed every day and a great atmosphere. Snooker has so much history in Essex and the county has produced some of the best players of all time. If the local fans continue to support this event then Brentwood could become the long term home of the English Open.”
